In this collector’s apartment, Olivier chose to treat art like a veritable Ariadne’s thread. The white, omnipresent throughout, is the backdrop for a series of sequences.
Take, for example, this beautiful lounge where white serves to contrast vintage pieces and works of all eras with the lacquered wood veneer of the fireplace.
Each piece is arranged as if for a gallery – even the furniture is displayed – like this brassfooted chest signed by André Arbus.
From floor to ceiling, one feels the owners’ presence and spirit; the space is personified.
